Fuse Board Replacement in Salford

Salford’s terraced streets keep their fuse boards where the coal used to live: at the cellar head. We replace them with modern RCBO boards in a day, from £449 fixed, and we bring our own lighting.

Salford housing and the boards it hides

The Edwardian terraces of Seedley, Langworthy and Weaste were built with cellars, and that is where the electrics went. We still find cast-iron switchfuses down there that pre-date the NHS, usually with a 1970s rewireable box bolted alongside. Damp cellar heads are hard on old equipment, and these are some of the most deserving replacements we do.

Salford also has one of the biggest private rented sectors in the region, from Broughton terraces to Ordsall flats. Landlord EICRs drive a lot of our work here, and the same C2 cluster comes up again and again: no RCD protection, no bonding, plastic or damaged enclosures. One board visit usually clears the list.
