Quotes

Our written quotes are fixed prices based on the photos and information you provide, and are valid for 30 days. If the installation turns out to be materially different from what your photos showed (for example a concealed second board), we will tell you before doing anything and give you a revised price you are free to decline.

What the price includes

Each quote itemises exactly what is included. Unless stated otherwise, board packages include the consumer unit, RCBOs, surge protection device, labour, dead and live testing of every circuit, the Electrical Installation Certificate and Part P notification.

Remedial work found on the day

If a circuit fails testing during the work, we will show you the readings, explain the fault and quote the fix separately. You are under no obligation to accept, though we may be unable to energise a circuit that is unsafe.

Access and power

You agree to give us access on the agreed date and to the power being off for part of the day. If we cannot gain access on the agreed date we may charge a reasonable aborted-visit fee, which we will have told you about when booking.

Payment

Payment is due on completion, once you have your certificate. We accept bank transfer and card. We do not take deposits for standard board replacements.

Our liability

We hold public liability insurance covering every job we carry out, maintained for the duration of the work and the guarantee period. The current schedule, showing the insurer, policy number, limit of indemnity and renewal date, goes to any customer on request, and direct to your landlord, freeholder or insurer if you ask. Call 07703 295654 and we will send it the same day. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes your statutory consumer rights.

Guarantee and complaints

Work is covered by our 5-year workmanship guarantee. If something is not right, the complaints procedure explains exactly what happens next.
